Breast Cancer Network Australia
‘No Life Limited by Breast Cancer’
Breast Cancer Network Australia’s identity had lost consistency across its touchpoints. The challenge was to bring it back together and make it unmistakably distinctive. We evolved the famous ‘pink lady’ and modernised the signature pink, drawing on the network’s roots in advocacy. Punk-inspired art direction and the new pink paired with black gave the brand a bold edge, true to an organisation built to speak up.
The rebrand launched with The Whole Story, a short film under the new platform No Life Limited by Breast Cancer. The challenge was to tell it how it really is beyond survival, and to move past the familiar idea that life returns to normal once treatment ends. Inspired by the lived experience of 37-year-old Bec Chan, the film is a single, unflinching monologue performed by actor Brenna Harding, an approach new to the charity space. On Instagram it passed hundreds of thousands of views in its first week, with more than 10,000 likes and over 500 comments. Many of those comments came from people around the world who saw their own story in it.
